| Shouldn’t we already know how to build sites with a good user experience? Be able to think like our users? To a certain degree yes. We build our sites with some basic usability in mind, however every audience is different, every message can be made clearer, and why not take advantage of the fluidness and dynamic nature of the internet? Usability testing provides better ways to present data, identifies issues with design, functionality and content. It allows us to break out of the “technical analysis” mentality and listen to real people about how they want to interact with the website as well as the company. Usability testing confirms assumptions, drives planning, and increases conversion rates. |
