Planning and Development
Partnering with DaviesMoore and leveraging the brand development work established for the University of Idaho, c308 Marketing engaged in a project to work with the university's Web Communications and ITS teams to develop a new core website architecture, design, and plan that would centralize the content in the core university site and create centralized standards for colleges that could be used to deploy program and degree sites throughout the eight colleges.Since that time, DaviesMoore and c308 Marketing have worked with the university on a number of projects. The following highlights some of the key elements of the website today.
Site Planning & Design
c308 Marketing developed the interface design of the current University of Idaho website. This design has created with four main objectives in mind:
- Stay consistent with the overall brand developed by DaviesMoore and the new Legacy of Leading advertising campaign
- Leverage work already done on the home page to organize content. Usability testing had been conducted on the home page, and it was necessary to improve upon the design without starting from scratch
- Standardize the design templates to utilize standards-based HTML/CSS to make future updates easier
- Create a design that could work as a landing page or as a template system that could extend throughout the core site and location sites
